Brian put down the deposit on our Disney World honeymoon this weekend. We have a FREE dining plan and we got an upgrade to Park Hopper for very cheap.
We are staying at the Port Orleans Riverside resort. It is a moderate Disney resort near Epcot and Downtown Disney. It has about a bazillion pools. I think the photo to the left is the main resort pool. We are going to start a Disney Honeymoon registry and put a few things on it like dinner at Victoria & Albert’s at the Grand Floridian resort, which isn’t included on the Disney Dining Plan because it’s super $$$. I also want to add a massage at the Grand Floridian, the Mickey & Minnie wedding ears, and a Disney PhotoPass CD. We may also register for golf lessons, mini golf, and/or a fishing excursion. I am just so excited about going to Disney for the honeymoon. I used to think that things like a Disney wedding or honeymoon were redneck or cheesy, but Brian has really taught me to embrace what it is I really love and just do what it is I want to do, regardless of what the Joneses think. It looks like we can take a boat from Port Orleans – Riverside over to Downtown Disney, as evidenced by the photo to the right.
We will arrive at Disney in the a.m. on April 27, and we plan to hang out at Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM) while they get our hotel room ready. We definitely plan to spend full days at the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, our two favorite parks. I’d also like to spend a full day in Animal Kingdom as we were only there for a half-day in 2006. So excited and am really looking forward to it! -K
